During your coaching assessment: Initially, you will often find that coach will provide you with a questionnaire to fill out before your first paid meeting. These questions are usually designed to help you think about what you want to change in your life and what you feel is currently holding you back.  It’s okay if you don’t have all the answers. As your new personal power coach, I can help you figure them out.

Most coaching sessions will last from 45 minutes up to an hour. The length of your coaching session will vary depending on your coach.  During your session, you and your coach will speak about what has happened since your last meeting and any goals you would like to set yourself for the upcoming period of time until you talk again.

As you speak, your personal power coach will offer ideas and provide you with several resources you can use to help you achieve the next step of your plan. Your coach will use approaches and techniques that will be most effective in helping you get what you want.

During your counselling assessment, you will be asked questions about Your mental health and general health. This includes how your mental health problem is making you feel, coping with the symptoms, and making it difficult for you to look after yourself properly. We do not deal at the moment with eating disorders.

As this is not an emergency service, call 999 if you are in immediate danger or your GP or out of hours GP, SAMARITANS no 116 123, or visit the nearest A&E.

During the session:

First of all, a document be sent to you and you will have to forward it to your coach/counsellor via email (same email as use Informed consent, this is in place to agree how we will work together, do's and dont's, The Counsellor/Coach will make notes. They are to help us solidify memories of important details, themes to come back to, or noteworthy elements of the therapy/coaching process. These small bits of information help us remember where we left off when we meet again and track progress. The insurance company requires us to keep notes for legal reasons; they are strictly confidential, however if counsellor/coach believe that you are in immediate danger they have duty of care to report danger to appropriate authorities.

We can ask to Record session to review the work with clinical supervisors and meet requirements for evidence-based treatment practices. Such recordings are obtained with clients consent, securely stored and destroyed after use.

Is the session Confidential? In almost every instance, it is absolutely confidential. Coach/therapist is required to maintain confidentiality about everything said in sessions between the two of you, just like a doctor is required to keep your records private.

There are few reasons why we need to keep eye contact. Your therapist/coach wants to watch your body language. The type of body language may vary. During the first session, your counsellor/coach is looking to see how well you make eye contact, whether you appear nervous, and how you respond to uncomfortable questions.

If you have any questions about fees, arrangements, I can be flexible, so please get in touch if you have any questions.
I wish you the best in whatever decisions you make. Always do what feels right for you.
